As an Air Logistics Warehouse Handling Specialist, you are the key link between our warehouse service provider and Kuehne+Nagel. You ensure that operations meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. You’ll be actively present on the floor — leading, monitoring, and continuously improving our warehouse processes.

You can expect a competitive monthly salary between €3,520 and €3,960, depending on your experience.

Beschrijving

In this position, you take ownership of warehouse performance and act as the primary point of contact between the external warehouse service provider and our internal Kuehne+Nagel teams. You will monitor daily activities, follow up on process deviations, and make sure all service levels are met.

Roughly 70% of your time is spent on the floor, ensuring smooth daily operations, identifying bottlenecks, and initiating improvements. With your leadership skills and analytical mindset, you make a real impact on both people and processes.

Your key responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily operations between Kuehne+Nagel and the warehouse service provider.
• Monitor, control, and optimize the execution of warehouse activities.
• Document and review any deviations from agreed service levels and warehouse procedures.
• Ensure compliance with QSHE and air security standards (e.g. TAPA, 7-point checks).
• Prepare and follow up on HSE reports and audit actions.
• Supervise inbound and outbound processes and monitor daily forecasts.
• Facilitate and attend daily, weekly, and monthly meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze operational KPIs and ATLAS dashboards to prevent future bottlenecks.
• Perform weekly stock checks and follow up on damages or discrepancies.
• Support authorities during inspections (Customs, KMar, Labour Inspection, etc.).
• Conduct warehouse tours and ensure a clean, safe working environment.
• Review and update work instructions based on SOPs and operational experience.

Wat vragen wij

You are an experienced supervisor who enjoys being in control of processes while leading people in a dynamic operational environment. You’re proactive, solution-oriented, and have strong communication skills — both on the shop floor and in meetings.

In addition, you bring:

• MBO+ or Bachelor-level education (preferably in logistics or supply chain).
• At least 3 years of experience in Air Logistics / Warehouse Operations, ideally in a leadership role (e.g. team leader or shift leader).
• Solid knowledge of process management, quality control, and reporting.
• Strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Willingness to work in a 2-shift system, including weekend shifts.
• A proactive, analytical, and hands-on attitude.
